Maat In The World (“we,” “us”) is a small handmade shop owned by Aesha Floyd in Arizona, USA. This
policy explains, in plain words, what information we collect when you visit maatintheworld.shop or buy

What we collect
Order details: When you place an order we collect your name, email, phone (if given), billing and
shipping address, and what you bought, so we can fill and ship your order.
Payment details: Payments are handled by our payment processor, [payment processor, e.g.
WooPayments/Stripe/PayPal]. Your card number goes straight to them. We never see or store your
full card details.
Account details: If you make an account, we keep your name, email, password (encrypted), and order
history.
Messages: If you email us or use our contact form, we keep your message and contact info so we can
reply.
Email list: If you join our list, we keep your email (and name if given) to send news about new pieces,
market dates, and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave anytime.
Reviews and comments: If you leave a review or comment, your name and comment show publicly.
Your email stays private.
Cookies and analytics
Our site runs on WordPress.com with WooCommerce and Jetpack. They use cookies (small files in your
browser) to keep your cart, keep you logged in, and remember your choices. We use Jetpack Stats [and any
other analytics, e.g. Google Analytics, or delete] to see general visitor numbers, such as which pages are
popular. This helps us improve the shop. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the
cart and checkout may not work without them.
Who we share with
We only share what’s needed to run the shop:
our payment processor, to take payment;
shipping carriers, to deliver your package;
WordPress.com/Automattic, WooCommerce, and Jetpack, which host and run our site;
our email service [email list service, e.g. Jetpack Newsletter/MailPoet/Mailchimp], if you join our list;
the law, if we are legally required to.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as needed for taxes, bookkeeping, and returns. We keep email list info until
you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your account and info at any time, except records we must keep
by law.
Your choices
You can ask to see, fix, or delete the personal info we have about you, or to stop getting emails. Just write
to aesha@maatintheworld.shop.
Keeping it safe
Our site uses a secure (https) connection, and we limit who can see customer info. No website is 100%
secure, but we take care with your information.
Children
Our shop is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
